Changing Catholic Mass: Modern Mass Makes Old Changes

America’s Roman Catholics will notice some new “old” changes in Sunday services.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Foster reports:

The church, tweaking the English translation of parts of the mass to make it closer to the Latin that was used for centuries.  Catholics who’ve been saying the same things for decades in church will have to change those habits.  For example:

-At the start of mass, when the priest says “The Lord be with you.”  It used to be you’d respond “and also with you.”  Now, it’s “and with your spirit.”

Some churches have been adding the changes bit by bit, holding seminars or putting cheat sheets in the pews.
