What's the best way to deal with the aches, sniffles, and stuffiness of flu season?
FOX's Colleen Cappon has the answer in today's "Housecall For Health":
Cold and flu season is here, and there is a right way and a wrong way to deal with it.
Here are some tips:
Keep track of the ingredients in every medicine you are taking to prevent double dosing, which in some cases can be toxic.
Don't use a decongestant nasal spray more than twice a day for a max of four days. Over-using can lead to more congestion.
And, don't count on antibiotics to cure you. They are useless against viruses and taking them unnecessarily could lead to resistance.
