Housecall for Health: When Does Pregnancy Start?

“The birds and the bees” has long been a controversial topic in some ways.  But it turns out that not even the doctors can agree on certain aspects.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon has details in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

A new survey of U.S. doctors shows there are contradictions about exactly when a pregnancy starts.

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology defines pregnancy as beginning when the fertilized egg implants in the uterus.  However, the survey revealed that most doctors believe it all starts when the sperm fertilizes the egg.  Experts say the difference in opinion shows why the topic is so controversial.
