New research on tea shows the popular beverage might not have the health benefits that it claims.

Although countless claims about the health benefits of tea make it seem like a magical elixir, scientists warn that even with promising research, it is not a cure-all.

All types of tea have disease-fighting antioxidants that suggest tea is good for us.  But according to experts at Yale University, the hype tends to make some promises that science can't yet deliver - including eliminating allergies, boosting fertility or curing depression.
