A new study suggests that despite some health risks for a child attending daycare, it may benefit them later on in life.

Children in daycare may get sick more often than children who stay home, but that doesn't mean their frequency of illness will be long-term. In fact, the study from the Australian government found that kids who attend daycare are more likely to grow up to be healthier with a stronger immune system than kids who did not attend.
Experts say that the exposure to a range of infectious diseases may provide protection later on.
