Housecall For Health: Seasonal Affective Disorder Cure

Scientists in Finland have come up with a new way of using light to cure the winter blues.  Believe it or not, it involves your ears.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon explains in today’s “Housecall For Health”:

Finnish scientists say they have a way to beat seasonal affective disorder; by shining a bright light into sufferers ears.  The University of Oulu study found that the human brain is as sensitive to light as the eyes, making it possible to treat the disorder with a headset that beams light, into the ears.  Trial volunteers used the headset for less than twelve minutes a day for four weeks, and saw a significant improvement in their depression.
