Union workers in northern California are joining "Occupy Oakland" protesters to disrupt operations at a major port in town - the nation's 5th busiest.

FOX News Radio's Jessica Rosenthal reports:

A variety of unions are supporting the protesters.  The spokesperson for Oakland Unified School District says that about 18% of the district's 2,000 teachers were absent Wednesday, compared to the average Wednesday rate of 1%.
