Wal-Mart Cuts Health Benefits For Some Workers
Wal-Mart is famous for rolling back prices, but now the company is cutting back on health benefits for some workers.
FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony has the story:
When Wal-Mart hires part-time workers, it will no longer give them health care benefits if they work less than 24 hours a week. The discount retailer is the nation’s largest private employer and it’s citing rising costs for scaling back. Future part-timers who average 24 to 33 hours a week, will not be able to add a spouse to their health plan though their kids would be covered. And full-time Wal-Mart workers who smoke, will have to pay substantially higher premiums.
