VIRAL VIDEOS: Week of October 14th

Here’s what’s going viral now on Facebook:

“Lassi Hurskainen Angry Birds.”

This is what happens when the worlds of mobile gaming and trick shot soccer collide.  UNC-Ashville goalkeepers Lassi Hurskainen and Dan Jackson take on – and take out – some stuffed versions of the popular game characters.  On top of the goal?  Not a problem.  In a window?  Got it!  Sitting on ceilings, walls, even basketball hoops, garbage cans and dumpsters…all knocked out.  And the Senior from Finland and his Freshman understudy do it only by kicking soccer balls at them.  I’m sure their teammates wish they could get some of this accuracy—the Bulldogs soccer team is struggling this season.

Then there’s this:

“Pac-Man: The Musical – A Pacapella Song.”

If Spiderman can be turned into a musical, why not another favorite “man?”  Welcome Pac-Man: the Musical, featuring claymation ghosts and of course the  yellow-headed, pac dot eating video game superhero.  Oh, and don’t forget Ms. Pac-Man, too!  All the different color ghosts argue over Pac-Man…  That is until he finds his turbo dot…

Finally, Facebook users are hitting the “like” button on:

“Exploding Popsicle Stick Wave.”

You know how some people create seemingly endless lines of dominos that knock each other down?  Well, how about a seemingly endless line of popsicle sticks at pop each other UP…  This family does it, with a pattern of multi-colored sticks that snakes throughout their house.  They fire it up in the kitchen, it loops around the living room, finally ending by knocking out a pyramid of plastic cups.
