Housecall For Health: Cancer’s Psychological Impact

There’s a new study out that indicates Cancer’s impact may linger for those who overcome the disease.

FOX News Radio’s Hank Weinbloom has more in today’s “Housecall For Health”:

Battling cancer is hard enough.  But the battle itself can leave psychological scars that can last for years.  A new study says four out of ten cancer survivors said they had symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder more than ten years after diagnosis.  Because of that, some patients may avoid medical care or follow-up visits.  The study in the Journal “Clinical Oncology” recommends doctors be on the lookout for signs of distress in their patients.
