Sony Recalls Sony 1.6 Million LCD TVs Worldwide

A popular brand of TV has been recalled.

FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter reports:

You’ve probably seen it. Football star Peyton Manning in a commercial for Sony Bravia.  Maybe you’ve seen it on a Sony Bravia.  And if you’ve noticed, the TV gets a little too warm you’re not alone.  Sony has recalled more than one and a half million of them sold worldwide the past four years.  The recall is voluntary since the only Bravias reported to have overheated were in Japan.  Eleven of them got so hot that the tops of them started to melt.  Sony says it’s because of a bad component in the backlighting system and it’s not in every model.

    Sony Bravia recall are 40-inch models KDL-40V3000, KDL-40VL130, KDL-40W3000, KDL-40WL135, KDL-40XBR4 and KDL-40XBR5
