Housecall for Health: Testosterone & Heart Attacks
A new study is out that shows that testosterone is key in the risk men face of heart attacks and other heart disease.
FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:
Older men with high levels of testosterone are less likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke.
Researchers accounted for several health factors, including weight, blood pressure and other diseases. High testosterone levels usually means less body fat, and more lean muscle, which may be one reason these men can fight heart disease. There are some risks to giving men extra testosterone, so medical trials are ongoing.
