FOX in the Fast Lane: Kurt Busch Wins at the Monster Mile

Tony Stewart’s two-race win streak comes to an end, as a Busch brother fights with Jimmie Johnson down the stretch in Round 3 of the Chase at Dover.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig recaps the AAA 400 in this “FOX in the Fast Lane”:

Kyle Busch was the only Busch brother with a win at Dover…until this weekend.  Kurt Busch vaulted himself back into Sprint Cup contention with a win in the AAA 400 at the Monster Mile, on ESPN…

“Woooo! That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Yeah!”

The #22 jumped ahead of Jimmie Johnson on a restart with less than 40 laps to go and never looked back…

“To win a Sprint Cup race in the Chase, this is what it’s all about.  That’s the feeling of the playoffs, and this team.  We had everything go wrong last week, we had everything go right this week.”

Both Busch and Johnson climb five spots in the Chase, now up to fourth and fifth, respectively.

Carl Edwards finished third.  He’s now even with Kevin Harvick atop the standings.

Tony Stewart struggled just to get into the top 20 throughout the day, ultimately finishing 25th.  He falls nine points out of the lead, even with Kurt Busch going into Round 4 of the Chase on Sunday in Kansas.
