FOX in the Fast Lane: Busch’s Chase-Clinching Win at Michigan

Michigan International Speedway is the racetrack that guarantees one NASCAR driver a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig has results of Sunday’s race in this edition of FOX in the Fast Lane…

Kyle Busch is in the Chase…

((“Kyle Busch, for the fourth time this year and the first time at Michigan, is gonna take the checkered flag.”))

The #18 holds on to the top of the Sprint Cup standings and clinches his spot in the Chase, winning a green-white-checkered finish in the Pure Michigan 400 on ESPN.  Kurt Busch nearly ruined his brother’s lead when he hit the wall with 2 laps left, but Kyle held off Jimmie Johnson on the restart for the victory.

Just a month ago, Brad Keselowski appeared to be on the outside looking in in the race for the Chase…not anymore.  Keselowski finished third in the Miller Lite Dodge, his third straight top-three finish and fifth top-10 in his last six races.  He holds pole position for the top wild card spot, sitting only 2 spots outside the top 10 in the standings.

NASCAR heads under the lights on Saturday night with the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol.  Be sure to check in with foxnewsradio.com on Friday as Marghiee “Trackside” Teshineh previews therace.
