UPDATE: The House has delayed the vote on Speaker Boehner's Debt plan.  As of 7pm ET, the House is in recess subject to the call of the chair.  That means it has run out of other business to conduct, but remains in session while members search for the 216 votes needed to pass the plan.  Even if the vote passes the House, it isn't expected to pass in the Senate.

The House is just hours away from a key vote on a Republican plan to end the debt ceiling impasse and the White House is working hard to see that it fails.
