FOX in the Fast Lane: Coke Zero 400 (Daytona)
NASCAR celebrates the 4th of July this weekend at the Daytona International Speedway with the Coke Zero 400, and Crown Royal and Rousch Fenway part company.
FOX News Radio’s Ron Flatter has this edition of “FOX in the Fast Lane”…
It’s night racing this weekend at Daytona, and driver David Ragan thinks his team has a good chance for a top 10 finish…
“If we could just put our UPS team in that top five, top six, top seven, and have a shot to win, that’s all we ask for. So, Daytona is one of those races that we’ve highlighted where we expect to be fast.”
Marcos Ambrose admits he hasn’t had much luck on two-car drafting tracks like Daytona…
“I’m looking to make amends, I’m going to be very cautious to start, but I’m gonna come home hopefully in a flurry and miss those wrecks and get close to the front.”
And Crown Royal announces it’s ending its sponsorship with Rousch Fenway Racing and driver Matt Kenseth at the end of the year. Now, it’ll only be the title sponsor of the Sprint Cup race in Richmond. RFR began the season with all four of its primary sponsors up for renewal. The team renewed 3M and driver Greg Biffle in April. AFLAC and driver Carl Edwards are unsigned beyond this year, and current David Ragan sponsor UPS has not been renewed yet.
