Think drinking diet soda will help you lose weight? Doctors say not so fast.
New studies from the University of Texas Health Center link drinking two or more diet sodas a day to poorer health and a waistline six times bigger than those who didn't drink the beverage. The results also proved that when tested on mice, calorie-free sweetener Aspartame raised blood sugar levels, increasing the risk of diabetes.
