The State rests. The first degree murder trial of Casey Anthony began on May 24th. Now the Prosecution believes it has made its case.
Listen here to Judge Belvin Perry and Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick at the Orange County Courthouse in Florida:
After the State concluded their portion of the trial, the defense tried to avoid having to present their side by asking Judge Belvin Perry for an early acquittal, saying that prosecutors hadn't met their burden of proof that Casey Anthony could have committed the crime.
FOX News Radio's Eben Brown has more from Miami:
Judge Belvin Perry denied the Defense's motion for acquittal.
Casey Anthony faces the death penalty, if convicted. The Defense will begin presenting on Thursday. Court is in recess until 9AM ET June 16th.
