Housecall for Health: Fruit Pesticides
Make sure you wash those fresh fruits!
FOX’s Karlie Pouliot explains why in today’s “Housecall for Health”…
Federal testing by the USDA has found pesticide residues in 98% of apples. The finding makes America’s second most popular fresh fruit the highest rated among all produce screened in the USDA’s yearly survey.
But, in a vast majority of cases, the residues of 48 different pesticides found in the apples were within amounts that federal regulators find safe to eat. Other pesticide-laden fruits include grapes and strawberries.
