FOX in the Fast Lane: Gordon Wins at Pocono

One of the most successful drivers in history picks up another win at one of his most successful tracks.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig recaps the 5-Hour Energy 500 in this “FOX in the Fast Lane”…

Pocono continues to be friendly to Jeff Gordon…  Gordon’s win in the 5-Hour Energy 500 on TNT Sports is his fifth at the “Tricky Triangle,” but his first since 2007.   It’s also his first multi-win season since 2007, and a win that ties him with Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison for third on the career victories list.  Kurt Busch finished second, followed by Kyle Busch in third.  Jimmy Johnson cut Carl Edwards’ lead atop the Sprint Cup standings to six points by finishing fourth.  A blown cylinder ended Edwards’ day after just 59 laps – he officially winds up in 37th.  Hendricks Motorsports enjoys the day, with three of the top six cars thanks to Dale Earnhardt, Jr’s sixth-place finish.
