Saving Iowa from the Swollen Missouri River

    A desperate effort underway to save Hamburg, Iowa from the swollen Missouri River.

    The Midwest continues to battle heavy rains that have caused major rivers like the Missouri and the Mississippi to flood. In Iowa, the town of Hamburg is at risk by a swollen Missouri River. Officials and volunteers are piling huge sandbags on a faltering levee to contain floodwaters that could leave the community under several feet of water.
