House to Take Up Raising the Nation’s Debt Ceiling.

    The House is gearing up for an evening vote on raising the nation’s debt limit.  But the outcome of this vote is already all but assured.

    FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern has the latest on the day’s debate…

    The vote is scheduled for 6:30pm ET, more than two hours after the stock markets close for the day.  When a House vote on the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act – the legislation buying bad assets to stabilize the financial industry – failed in September 2008, the markets dropped a record 777 points in a single day.
