FOX in the Fast Lane: Coca-Cola 600 (Charlotte)

The Sprint Cup celebrates Memorial Day Weekend with the longest race on the circuit, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway; Danica Patrick has a new home; and Kyle Busch’s run-in with “Smokey.”

FOX News Radio’s Marghiee “Trackside” Teshineh has this week’s “FOX in the Fast Lane”…

MATT KENSETH  THINKS THE COCA-COLA 600 IS WHERE HE CAN GRAB HIS THIRD VICTORY OF THE SEASON BECAUSE…

(I FEEL LIKE A LOT OF TIMES WE EXCEL AT THE LONGER RACES.. MAYBE MORE SO THAN THE SHORTER ONES AND I LOOK FORWARD TO THAT)

JIMMIE JOHNSON SAYS WITH A RACE THIS LONG YOU CAN’T LOSE FOCUS…

(IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME AND YOU STICK AROUND FOR THE SIX HUNDRED MILES YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A GOOD FINISH. SO BEING SMART ALL NIGHT LONG IS GOING TO BE THE KEY.)

KYLE BUSCH CITED FOR CARELESS AND RECKLESS DRIVING  IN NORTH CAROLINA, CLOCKING IN AT 128 MILES PER HOUR ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE.  BUSCH WAS RELEASED PROMISING  IN WRITING TO APPEAR LATER IN COURT.

AND TONY STEWART SAYS THOUGH HE HASN’T SPOKEN TO DANICA PATRICK OFFICIALLY, BUT HE’D BE INTERESTED IN SIGNING HER TO STEWART HAAS RACING IF SHE MOVES TO NASCAR’S TOP SERIES WHEN HER INDY CAR CONTRACT IS UP AT THE END OF THE YEAR.  CURRENTLY PATRICK IS RUNNING A LIMITED SCHEDULE FOR JR MOTORSPORTS IN THE NATIONWIDE SERIES.
