Congress Passes 2011 Spending Bill

    By a vote of 260-167, the House has passed the Government shutdown-averting budget deal.  The Senate has also passed the measure by a vote of 81-19, sending it to the President’s desk for a signature. The plan consists of $38 billion dollars worth of spending cuts.
