CHILE UPDATE: Miners Reaching Surface
As the rescues continue at a Chilean mine, the pace of the operations are picking up. While initial expectations were for one miner to appear in the 2-foot diameter capsule every hour, some of the latest trips have taken as short as 30 minutes to make the approximately 1-mile round-trip from the surface to the trapped miners.
