FOX In The Fast Lane – Watkins Glen

Jack Roush on the mend, gearing up for the Watkins Glen, and the countdown to the chase begins.  FOX News Radio’s Marghiee Teshineh has more with “FOX In The Fast Lane.”

A tale of two road courses…

Jimmie Johnson, hoping this week to be crowned “King of the Road”  at Watkins Glen International.

Johnson,  the winner this year at  the Sprint Cup’s other road course at Sonoma  explains how the two tracks differ; Sonoma being the more complex track to run on.

Tony Stewart, the defending champ, says because drivers don’t have to navigate in and out of corners like they do at Sonoma, the drivers go much faster.

Stewart has five career victories at the Glen and seven wins overall on road courses.

NASCAR team owner Jack Roush recovering at the Mayo Clinic, upgraded to fair condition after a plane crash July 27th in Wisconsin.  A team rep saying Roush will remain at the Minnesota clinic indefinitely to treat facial injuries.

And happy birthday to Jeff Gordon who turns 39 this week.
