When looking at the candidates for 2016, Stein explained that the most important issue facing the next president is national security and he believes Lindsey Graham is stronger than any other candidate on the issue. Stein said Graham’s various statements on our military and how to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon show he knows what the right thing to do is when it comes to protecting America.

Later in the interview, Stein took issue with White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest’s comments on Graham. Stein believes Earnest was slyly hinting that Lindsey Graham is gay when Earnest said, “It’s hard for me to imagine both a Graham White House and what a Graham White House would be without a first lady. But I would obviously defer to the senator to describe what that would be.” When he heard those remarks, Stein thought to himself, “This is the administration that is supposedly the best friend gay people ever had and now they are insinuating Graham is gay?” Stein continued, “I had always heard that Josh Earnest is gay…and its sort of known in Washington circles that he is believed to be gay…. ”
