White House Was Looking at the Shot Clock Winding Down in Afghanistan

Former Director of the CIA & NSA General Michael Hayden (Ret)  called in to Brian and discussed the Berghdahl case, the Middle East, and the downed Germanwings plane.

Understands the motivation to want to get Bowe Bergdahl back but those 5 was too high a price to pay. Also, what was the President’s staff thinking putting Bergdahl out on the Rose Garden, there was a thousand ways it could go wrong and it did. He also believes that the administration wanted to clean up the Bergdahl issue because they were looking at the shot clock counting down on how long they wanted to stay in Afghanistan. He also talked about how it is virtually impossible to get this administration to change its mind, even with hard facts against their policy. General Hayden also talked about how there are a lot of things going wrong with our foreign policy.
