Down 11 Pounds and LOVING it.
I wish I hadn’t waited untiljust before my 40th birthday to get REALLY serious about my weight and health.
But better late than never.
I am on my 6th day of Atkins “Induction”–the first phase of the Atkins plan which runs anymore between 2 weeks and several months.
And I am down 11 pounds of the 40 I plan to lose before I turn 40 next February. I am well on my way and will probably meet my goal EARLIER than scheduled.
How am I doing it?
By being as SERIOUS as the heart attack I probably would have given myself if I had stayed on the course I was on.
By being DETERMINED about reaching the goal.
By SEEING myself with the body I WANT to have and KNOW I can have again.
A lot of this is nutritional common sense.
We as a people are eating WAY, WAY more carbs and sugars and JUNK than our ancestors ever did. Our bodies don’t need these types of carbs and empty calories.
The biggest misconception being taught to us is that eating FAT makes us FAT. Not true.
I am losing weight and getting lean and feeling great eating the foods that society has decided to shun in recent years–meat, eggs, and cheese.
Funny how those were the STAPLES that our ancestors always ate and they weren’t 300 pounds overweight.
The key to Atkins is that your body starts burning FAT–its OWN fat, too. Not just starchy carbs like pasta, etc., the excess of which goes right to your HIPS.
But a HUGE part of this for me has also been the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. Good thoughts and images bring more good thoughts and images. And ultimately, through your motivated actions, they will bring good RESULTS.
Life changing results, oftentimes.
Remember this key rule of the Law of Attraction as you seek the body or bank account or health that you want:
You can’t aim to be slim while dwelling on being fat. You can’t aim to be wealthy while pitying yourself for being poor. And you can’t aim to be healthy when you are fixated on illness.
It’s as simple as that. When you look in the mirror, picture the NEW you. Not the one with the bulging belly. Whatever your goal is, you must as as if you have already ATTAINED it. Live it before you actually are.
Picture how you will look when you lose those 40 pounds. Lay out some clothes on the bed that haven’t fit you in years and feel how good it will feel to fit into them at last. Envision all the compliments everyone who knows you will give you.
Feels good, doesn’t it?
Great! You HAVE to feel good for any of this to happen. You must. It’s not an option.
So if I can do it, you can do it. Anyone can. Before you begin on any diet or weight loss regimen however, make sure it’s good with your personal physician.
As Napoleon Hill and others have stated wisely: What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
So go move a few mountains already, ok?
