General Keane: We Must be More Forceful With Turkey; Mark Cuban: On The NBA’s TV Deal, Shark Tank, and More

KILMEADE KONDENSED: 10/09/14

Listen here for the Kilmeade Sound Medley of the day

HOUR 1
General JACK KEANE (Ret.) talked about ISIS and said that the President’s decision to destroy them is the right goal but the problem is the implementation of that goal.  The only way we will be able to destroy them is with ground forces that are effective against them.  General Keane explained that the military commanders are very frustrated with the administration because they have never accepted their recommendations and that they have already told the President that the limits they have put on the armed forces will make the ultimate goal difficult.  He also feels that we have to take the gloves off and be more forceful with Turkey because they won’t help the Kurds and took a blind eye at ISIS shipping oil on the black-market through their border.

HOUR 2
“Fox News Sunday” host CHRIS WALLACE weighed in on the impact of Leon Panetta’s book, which he said the truth aspect is devastating because it shows the weakness of the President and that it shows that we didn’t push hard enough to get a status of forces agreement.  However, it won’t have much of an impact on the mid-term elections; it is history that will view him poorly.  Chris also talked about how the war isn’t going well and we shouldn’t expect it to because there are no boots on the ground anywhere.

Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.” host STUART VARNEY dropped by and talked about how China’s economy is now larger than the United States.  Stuart also talked about the astronomical cost of Ebola; he explained about the cost of hospitals, quarantine and decontamination.  Stuart also talked about the stocks of companies with experimental Ebola drugs and hazmat suits; however, it is very volatile.

HOUR 3
Fox Chief Washington Correspondent JAMES ROSEN talked about the war and said that things are not going well because no one is taking the lead to help.  This hastily put together coalition was organized too late, and the limits of the campaign start there.  James also explained that the tension between the President and the military leaders is not going to end anytime soon because they sound very disturbed about the rules of engagement they have to follow.  Leon Panetta is just the latest in a long line of Washington insiders who write books for great profit bashing who they just worked with.

Dallas Mavericks owner and “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban talked about the NBA’s new TV deal and how both players and owners will benefit. He also talked about how “Shark Tank” is an aspirational show that shows you if they can do it I can do it.  He also explained why everyone in sports has to be careful of what they say and do because in the social media world we live, they are a target.
