HOUR 1
Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), joined Brian Kilmeade this morning on Kilmeade and Friends and weighed in on a range of issues including former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton, Benghazi, Bowe Bergdahl, the IRS, the Gubernatorial race in California and immigration. Issa said there is one consistency with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton whenever anything looks bad, “The first answer to anything that might look bad will be untrue and then they will accuse us of politics when we seek to get to the truth when the first answer doesn’t make any sense!”

HOUR 2
Col. Oliver North, author of Counterfeit Lies, joined Brian in studio to talk about the latest with the V.A. North said that Shinseki should have quit if he couldn’t handle running the V.A. North wants to know where congress was while the problems have been growing in the V.A. over the years. North shared with Brian that he regularly speaks with current members of the military and tells them to call their members of congress if they are not getting the care they need from the V.A. North is upset that nobody in congress has followed through to fix the V.A. problems until now. Col. North shared his experience dealing with the V.A. when he had cancer. Col. North calls the lack of treatment for soldiers “criminal neglect.”
On Bowe Bergdahl, North said Bergdahl was not a prisoner of war. North said he knows what it is like to negotiate for the life of an American. The one thing Col. North said he would never do is exchange five brutal terrorists for a hostage. North told Brian he wants to know who was paid off in the deal to recover Bergdahl, how much was paid, who paid it, and who received the money!
Oliver North told Brian about his new book Counterfeit Lies. North said the book is about the next scandal, which he said will be Iran cheating to acquire nuclear weapons and the means on how they will deliver them.

Jen Griffin, FOX’s National Security Correspondent, talked to Brian about the congressional briefing concerning the Bowe Bergdahl swap for five terrorists from Gitmo. Griffin said between 70 and 80 staff members of the White House Staff knew about the negotiations for Bergdahl’s release but the White House felt congress could not be trusted to keep the negotiations a secret. Griffin pointed out that the negotiations for Bergdahl’s release started back in 2010 while Hillary Clinton was still Secretary of State.
On the question of whether or not the US paid money for Bergdahl’s release, Jennifer said that it does not appear to be a part of the deal. Griffin said the release of the five terrorists from Gitmo is a psychological victory for the Taliban.
HOUR 3
Brian spoke with Bill Gertz, columnist and reporter for The Washington Free Beacon and The Washington Times, about his column today which is about the U.S. and Edward Snowden possibly working on a deal for him to return to America. Gertz said Snowden’s temporary asylum in Russia ends in August. Gertz believes we will find out in the next few weeks if Snowden will be extending his stay in Russia. Gertz told Brian that, according to NSA director Mike Rogers, an amnesty deal for Snowden in exchange for the stolen NSA documents is doubtful because it would be difficult to recover the documents.
Gretchen Carlson joined Brian in studio to talk about Hillary Clintons interview with Diane Sawyer last night. Brian and Gretchen have big problems with Hilary Clinton claiming she helped restore America’s credibility after 8 years of George W. Bush. Taking a break from politics Gretchen told Brian that she was sad that California Chrome did not win the Triple Crown.
