BRIAN’S QUOTE OF THE DAY
On President Obama’s comments from today…
He has not yet taken shots, well he has taken a subtle shot, he believes the people causing these deadlines and these stalemates that we are currently experiencing in Washington, he says they have to come to an end. Does he ever acknowledge his role in these stalemates taking place, these deadlocks happening, and, in this case for the first time in 17 years, a total shutdown of the Federal Government. He never acknowledges his role. I am willing to negotiate after we do what I want you to do. And then why do you think, without any leverage, the President will ever agree to anything the republicans want because he doesn’t want it. And for people to say he is tough and he looks strong, when are you ever strong when you don’t engage? You talk, but you don’t listen. You hear, but you don’t do!
HOUR ONE
CHARLES HURT, columnist Washington Times, weighed in on Robert Redford’s comments where he blamed the gridlock in DC on racism. Hurt said that even though Redford has played some of his favorite movie characters, he should stick to acting because he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Hurt believes Redford has good intentions, but is just a million miles out of touch.
Brian’s TV brother, Steve Doocy, & actor Stephen Baldwin were in studio and talked about how faith-based content is on the rise within America pop culture, citing examples such as Baldwin’s upcoming movie, ‘I’m in Love with a Church Girl’, Mark Burnette’s ‘The Bible’ series and Bill O’Reilly’s ‘Killing Jesus’! Baldwin predicted that within the next five years you will see many more film studios coming out with faith-based projects!
HOUR TWO
HOWARD KURTZ, host of Fox’s Media Buzz, made his debut appearance on Kilmeade & Friends since joining Fox News. Brian asked him to weigh in on actor Robert Redford’s remark that a body of Congressional people have a problem with President Obama because of race. Kurtz said he’s appalled that Redford would bring race into this, to introduce race into a controversy that has no racial aspect is just wrong.
Ambassador John Bolton sat down with Brian to discuss his concern over President Obama’s plan to negotiate with Tehran. Bolton explained that it would legitimize Iran’s nuclear program. “This would be a policy of appeasement if we agree to it. “ He said the worst outcome is to say that Iran can have some ability to enrich uranium.
HOUR THREE
ANDY LEVY of Fox News’ Red Eye spoke with Brian about the pressure faced by those behind- the-scenes in D.C. During last night’s shutdown vote, Dianne Reidy, the House stenographer, went up to the Speaker’s Chair and began shouting about God. Brian, trying to make sense of this, said, “I don’t mean to laugh, but when your stenographer snaps, and the week before your Chaplin just starts berating the masses, you start to wonder what’s happing…..the next thing you know the janitor is going to start hitting everyone with the other end of the mop. The person who washes the erasers is going to be going after Congressman. What is happening Andy?”
Andy, while acknowledging that it’s sad because she may have mental problems, says “The real question is, how have they gone this long without snapping?”
