BRIAN’S QUOTE OF THE DAY
Here is Brian’s reaction after playing the clip of Robert Gibbs saying the launch of Obamacare has been “excruciatingly embarrassing for the White House”…
This is Robert Gibbs, admitting what we know. You aren’t anti-Obama and anti-Obamacare if you point out the software isn’t ready, everything’s confused, people are logged on and getting the wrong insurance companies popping up and nobody has confirmation in many cases…when the NYT’s puts a reporter on this and says it took 11 hours and they still were not able to get on, you’ve got a problem. When the Washington Post says it, you have a problem. When Robert Gibbs says it, you have a nightmare! And the President thinks we are idiots he is going to come out and say it is because it is popular. Even his own lackey can’t go along with that stupid statement!
HOUR 1
The WSJ’s KIM STRASSEL weighed in on the negotiations going on between the White House, Senate and House. Regarding the President, Strassel said, “Anyone in the White House who suggests this is a victory for them, this is just silly talk. The president faces a very clear choice—he can either sit down with republicans at some point in the next few months and do something significant…on entitlement reform or he continue to drag his feet every time this comes up…and that is going to put the dagger into his agenda for anything else he wants to do in his second term.”
HOUR 2
FOX’s own JENNIFER GRIFFIN updated Brian and his listeners on the latest with Al-Libi’s arrival in New York. She went onto give Secretary of State Kerry credit for going straight to Afghanistan when it looked like there wasn’t going to be a deal on the Status of Forces agreement.
BRANDON STEINER, founder of Steiner Sports Marketing and Memorabilia and author of “You Gotta Have Balls” joined Brian to discuss what it takes for him to be able to trust an athlete enough for him to invest in them. He also went into detail about his biggest purchase of all time, the old Yankee Stadium. He said, “My biggest goal with that stadium was to make sure that every Yankee fan had an opportunity to get something from all levels.” He also went into detail about the amount of responsibility he felt. “We walked around and looked at all the things I wanted to take and sell. When you get in the nook and crannies and you’re trying figure out, ‘Do I want the speakers and have Bob Sheppard sign?’, or in broadcast booth there’s the media chairs, in the locker room, the carpet, which we made car mats out of and then the lockers themselves which were big and heavy, and so was a big responsibility and expensive, it took a lot to take those things out of the stadium and catalog it.”
When Brian asked Brandon if he had any seats left, Brandon revealed that a warehouse employee upstate stole the cast iron parts of the seats and melted it all down and sold it for money. So there only ended up being 10,000 pairs left. (Now down to after sales) He added that now it makes them true collectables.

HOUR THREE
NATALIE GRANT, Grammy-nominated country music star, stopped by the studio. Her highly anticipated album, Hurricane was released today. Natalie explained to Brian her lyrics were fueled from a recent series of emotional struggles, including her battle with post-partum depression, her feelings of inadequacy when it comes to parenting, her nephew’s struggle with drug addiction and her father’s battle with cancer. “The record has been a healing for me, it brought me back to a place of hope and that’s what hope is, it’s the thing that keeps the light on when we’re in the dark and it’s a promise of another day.”
GRETCHEN CARLSON, host of Fox News’ ‘The Real Story w/ Gretchen Carlson,’ joined Brian to try and make sense of the stalemate in Washington. Upon the announcement from Sen. Harry Reid that the House’s bill will be dead on arrival in Senate, Gretchen and Brian both wondered, “Where is our president?” Brian points out that with Biden away, it’s Harry Reid pulling all the strings. Gretchen frustrated, said, “That’s exactly what they said about Obamacare, that Nancy Pelosi pulled all the strings, and they were right. So once again, where is President Obama? That’s the 10 million dollar question for me today.”
