BRIAN’S QUOTE OF THE DAY

Brian on a potential military strike on Syria: “Hey, Syria! If you have air defense, you might as well power it up because we’re coming in! In fact, we even hear it’s going to be Thursday… There’s going to be no surprise when the bombing starts, it’s what it’s going to be aiming at.”

HOUR ONE

AMBASSADOR ROBERT JORDAN, former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, talked to Brian about what the U.S. might be doing under the radar in the Middle East.  Jordan said he thinks we are doing a lot: “I suspect we have operatives both within Syria and working on the Turkish border; I suspect we’re working heavily in Jordan; and I have no doubt that there are many backchannel conversations.”

Jordan also said that he does not blame the American people for not knowing which side to take because it is hard to tell the “good guys from the bad guys,” and the President has not established a set of guidelines or principles on which he’s viewing this.  “Probably no one is wearing a white hat out there right now,” he explained.

“What’s a strike going to really do?” FOX & Friends co-host GRETCHEN CARLSON talked to Brian Syria and what effects a military strike might do to the Assad regime.  “This guy used chemical warfare on his own people.  He’s been shooting them – point blank – through his army for the last two years.  He doesn’t have a problem with killing his own people.  So do you really think he’s going to be scared from some sort of strike by us? I don’t.”

HOUR TWO

JENNIFER GRIFFIN, FOX News National Security Correspondent, talked to Brian about the continuous flow of information about the potential bombing in Syria.  Griffin said the latest news is that the bombing will definitely not be aimed at any of the chemical weapon stores.  She also said that although we know what the strike will not be aimed at, we still don’t know where it will be aimed at.

GENERAL JACK KEANE, retired four-star general, also talked about Syria and what the most effective military strategy would be to use. Keane said we need to find a “strategic gain in value” from the strike.  He went on to comment on the allegations that the Israelis have a bomb called the “Agent Defeater,” which bombs and shreds chemical storage containers and incinerates the chemicals with white phosphorus.  Keane said that while he has never seen these chemical weapon incinerators in use, he does not dispute the evidence that they exist because chemical weapons have been a major threat to Israel for years.

HOUR THREE

Janice Dean Brian KilmeadeFOX News Meteorologist and author of Freddy the Frogcaster, JANICE DEAN, talked to Brian about why she decided to write a children’s book about the weather.  Dean explained that children are naturally very inquisitive about the weather – why clouds have certain shapes, etc. When she noticed there was an open market for children’s books about the weather, she decided to create a fun yet educational book.

Dean also talked about whether or not people might be more interested in the weather in recent years with all the catastrophes that have been occurring, and on the current hurricane season.  “We’ve had a very slow start to hurricane season,” Dean exclaimed, “This should be the peak and we don’t have one hurricane to talk about.” She said we also had a record low number of tornadoes during tornado season.
