SENATOR RON JOHNSON (R-WI) sounded off about the scope of the NSA. “I am concerned about an all-powerful government,” Senator Johnson explained, “Not only in terms of the NSA, but a government that can take 45 percent of your income and then what’s left over take 40% of your estate; can tell you what doctor you can go to; what medical treatments you’re going to be qualifying for. Americans need to have that healthy distrust of government across the board.”

ED HENRY, FOX News’ Chief White House Correspondent, weighed in on today’s test vote for the border security amendment put forward by Senator Bob Corker (R-TN). Henry explained that the White House is willing to throw their support behind this amendment because “they want to get the overall victory.”
Henry went on to say that this does not make much sense because Obama has said on many occasions that the border is “more secure than it’s ever been.” “If the President’s been telling the truth on that for the last couple of years and the numbers back it up, why then would we need to double the number of border patrol agents?” Henry asked.
DAVE IGNATIUS, columnist for the Washington Post, weighed in on what scenario would work best for America right now in Syria. “I think we have only bad choices now,” Ignatius said, “But that doesn’t mean we don’t have to make one of them. I think what the President is doing is probably about right, assuming he follows through.” Ignatius went on to explain that in the short run, we need to work on building up the moderate forces in Syria that can fight President Bashar al-Assad.
