Republican Strategist Ed Rollins weighed in on Michele Bachmann’s announcement that she will not seek re-election next year. When asked if Republicans will be relieved with this news, Rollins answered, “Michele had a tendency to not be as careful with her words as she should have been. I think to a certain extent it kind of ended up defining her.” Rollins also weighed in on Bob Dole’s comments this past Sunday about the state of the Republican Party and said he disagrees with Dole. “My sense is parties go through different periods of time. I think we have basically gone through a period here of post-election in which we have whipped ourselves pretty severely,” Rollins said.
