Updated: Tornado Strikes Near Oklahoma City

    We expect President Obama to make a statement from the State Dining Room of the White House in regards to the tornado that has ravished parts of Oklahoma at approximately 10am ET.     Significant tornado damage spotted outside of the Oklahoma City area Monday afternoon after a large, dangerous tornado touched down, cutting a path near Moore, Oklahoma. The tornado was said to be at least a mile-wide.

    Helicopter footage of the area shows homes and buildings destroyed, some are in flames and vehicles strewn about roadways south of Oklahoma City.
