[VIDEO]: @RedSox Pitcher @JLester31 Tells YOU to #NVRQT!
Boston Red Sox pitcher and cancer survivor JON LESTER stopped by the studio to tell Brian about his Never Quit campaign. Lester, who pitched a winning game last night for the Red Sox at the Yankee’s home opener, explained the process he underwent in beating Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. “I didn’t know what the prognosis was, what the next step was, anything,” Lester said, “It was almost good to be dumb.”
Lester said that it took him a couple of years to really embrace being a cancer survivor and all that it means. Now, he has started a foundation that focuses on pediatric cancer called Never Quit (#NVRQT). To learn more about Never Quit, click here.
