BRIAN’S OPENING THOUGHTS
The proposal President Obama put forward is laughable! Brian thinks it is up to the Republicans to come back and give their proposal. PLUS: Why are we talking about debt ceiling control and more stimulus spending, when we should be talking about revenues and cuts?
HOUR ONE
Special Report’s Bret Baier weighed in on the fiscal cliff proposal, and what each party is going to do from now until the end of the year. Baier predicted, “If John Boehner can get the tax increases/revenue increases below one trillion dollars, he is probably going to have a win.”
Later, NY Post columnist Michael Goodwin weighed in on the proposal President Obama put forward, and the remarks Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner made. Goodwin said that Geithner, who got a pass from the President after cheating on his taxes, was talking about raising taxes as if he bears no responsibility for the fiscal disaster. “He acts as though the President and he bear no responsibility. That if we go over the fiscal cliff, it will only be because Republicans wouldn’t give in.”

HOUR TWO
Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta, author of Living with Honor, talked to Brian about his book and why he received the Medal of Honor. Giunta, who is the first living individual to receive the Medal of Honor since the conclusion of the Vietnam War, explained that during a five-day mission, the Taliban attacked and carried away fellow army Sergeant Josh Brennan. When Sgt. Giunta noticed Sgt. Brennan was getting carried away, he risked his own life, confronted the enemy, and saved Brennan.

HOUR THREE
Columnist for The Weekly Standard, Stephen Hayes, talked to Brian about the proposal, and an article in the NY Times by Peter Baker, which says that the President Obama is too unwilling to compromise, while in the past he was too willing to compromise.
