Florida Republican Congressman and GOP gubernatorial candidate in the Sunshine State Byron Donalds joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to explain how the main focus of the Trump administration’s policies continues to be making life more affordable for average Americans.
“I think that whether it’s Scott Besant or anybody at the White House, the president, his entire focus is on helping the American people keep more money in their pocket and building an economy that’s durable for the future of our country. And you know they’ve been hard at work at that. Trump Accounts is a part of that. Now you’re going to have young people, infants in our country have an opportunity to begin saving early. The parents can take those Trump Accounts add to them into the future. These are things that are going to help build the wealth effect in our countries long term. So happy that that’s getting started up. That passed actually last summer in One Big, Beautiful bill that was part of the president’s agenda. So those accounts are here. And then listen, let’s put the Trump account aside for a moment. President had an announcement last week, Mark Cuban came in and we all know that Mark Cuban and the president don’t always get along, but Mark Cuban come in to talk about Trump RX, about finding ways to push down the cost of prescription drugs in America. And so part of my platform running for governor is that we’re gonna align Florida’s procurement process and prescription drugs with Trump RX. So you have people on two sides of the political aisle saying, yes, TrumpRx is a great solution to help push down the cost of prescription drugs for people in our country. And that’s how you begin to make America more affordable, make Florida more affordable. Help people build the wealth effect, young people with Trump accounts, Trump Rx pushing down drug laws.”
