California GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on Tuesday night’s debate, and why he believes the Democratic candidates in this race like former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and ex-Congresswoman Katie Porter are showing a callous indifference toward the actual problems facing people in the Golden State.
“This is what you get actually with this arrogance. It’s the arrogance of one party rule. They’ve been in power 16 years, they think they’ll be in power forever, it kind of doesn’t matter what they say, they’re completely captured by ideology and their far left activists and the unions totally lost touch with normal people. That’s why, you know, the last debate, they were all running around giving Newsom an A or B grade for homelessness, to make a fool of themselves. But they don’t care because they don’t t think like that anymore. They just think about pandering to their internal audiences, whatever that is. And so they think, fine, yeah, gas prices, who cares? They think, oh, everyone has EVs anyway. No, they don’t. Show the note total proportion of vehicles on the road in California, even in California there are EVs, about four or five percent. Wow. But the way they behave, it’s like, oh everyone has a Tesla. That’s how they think.”
