California GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to talk about why his campaign message focused on common sense solutions is already resonating with residents of the Golden State.
“You know, you come here, they give you a house, they give you booze. I mean, that’s Gavin Newsom’s California, of course. All the time you hear things that you think that’s got to be a joke. No, it’s true in California. It’s exactly right. That story with San Francisco. But this is what you get when you’ve got year after year, 16 years now of one-party rule. They’ve had no kind of check on what they do. These far-left nut jobs, just running away with our money, doling it out to all these insane causes. Everything is more expensive. We have the highest taxes in the country, the worst results from the government. It’s a joke. That’s why actually, to be serious for a second, I do really believe that this fundraising thing is a sign that people are really sick of it. So actually, you know, I’ve never run for office before. I raised more money in the last six months, that was the first kind of full period of reporting that you do, than all these, you now, Democrat machine politicians who’ve been in politics for years in Congress at the national level. Katie Porter, Eric Swalwell, all these people, I raised millions more than they did and from small donors because people are absolutely sick of it here.”
