Former GOP National Spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko joins Fox Across America With guest host Paul Gleiser to explain why she feels it’s too early to hit the panic button about the GOP’s chances in next year’s midterm election.
“It’s about the landscape of what our American political system looks like today, what the parties look like, what candidates are doing, and how much can literally change in front of your eyes in less than a week or two. So I think anyone really trying to predict anything for midterms when we’re a year out. Is really trying to, you know, hope to get a headline, but actually not really banking on being correct. I think there’s so much to get done, both domestically and on the world stage. We have the best president to do it. But more importantly, we saw this in 2024. We saw candidates that thought that Donald Trump had no chance. Not only did he sweep but he swept because the Democrats not only proved that they cannot govern at this point in time, but they have absolutely zero platform to offer the American people. So they have a year to figure out their own plans. Donald Trump has a year to be another very, very successful president. And I cannot even imagine how much is going to change between now and then, how much you and I will probably be discussing next year in 2026. So I don’t like anyone trying to predict anything. I think we’re at a very good spot considering how much Donald Trump wants and plans to have done and how weak the Democrat bench looks right now.”
