Cyber Week spending hit an all time high as many Americans are shopping for the holidays. Fox Business’ Madison Alworth joins Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla to weigh in on whether she thinks people are confidently spending or recklessly spending.
“I do think though it’s more recklessness. I think we are. I don’t think we’re spending out of confidence. I think we’re anxiously spending. We’ve gotten comfortable with the level of personal debt in this country. Yes, we’re at the highest level ever and it’s only become easier with buy now pay later. I know you’re very familiar with that. Put off your responsibilities for the future. And I I think for better or maybe you know, most likely for worse. We’re not confronting the problem. It’s very easy to spend if the credit card bill doesn’t come due or if you spread it out. But the you gotta pay those bills.”
