California GOP gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to slam the current leadership in the Golden State for not doing enough to help those who had a home or property destroyed in January’s deadly Palisades Fire.

“I mean, look, we were just up there the other day. Last Wednesday, I was up there, I did a press call for us up there standing in front of a burnt out shell of a building, nothing happening. Just now, literally minutes ago, we’re on the road, we just drove down Pacific Coast Highway along the coast there, Malibu, nothing happening, just a total mess. And you talk to people involved, and this is months after Karen Bass was saying, we’re going to simplify the process, one stop shop, you know, removing the roadblocks. And then they’re still telling me, they go to the building department and every time it’s a different person saying a different bureaucratic rule. They’re saying, well, you can’t get the permit until you get your insurance, the insurance company saying we can’t give you insurance until you got the permit. I mean, on and on, it’s just unbelievable that we’re now nearly a year, nearly heading into the year anniversary and it’s still not happening. By the way, what did Gavin Newsom say in January, like in the smoldering ruins of the fires? He said, we’re going to have a Marshall plan, a Marshall Plan for rebuilding LA. He just says this stuff and because the press here is so compliant in California, they just like ignore it and like as if he just says things and there’s no meaning to it. It doesn’t matter. But he’s not going to get away with that when he’s running for president honestly.”
