News Editor for Townhall.com Kate Pavlich joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give her take on the recent declassification of documents by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, which allege the Obama administration promoted a “contrived narrative” that Russia interfered in the 2016 election.
“It’s a huge embarrassment for the media that basically regurgitated the arguments that were being made by the intelligence community, by Barack Obama and Democrats. And, you know, this has been coming for a long time. We had all this evidence of the Steele dossier being fake, and that destroyed most of the reporting on this issue. And now with Tulsi Gabbard coming out yesterday and saying basically, the intelligence report they released in January of 2017 claiming that President Trump was colluding with the Russians or that they interfered in the election, was all made up. Like it wasn’t even like a real thing. And not only was it made up, it was directed to be made up by Barack Obama himself, the former president. And I was on Special Report last night with the panel and one of the panelists was trying to argue that who cares this isn’t a big deal this is eight nine years ag. And it’s like what do you mean who cares? Like this is a huge abuse of power, this is the intelligence community using a political document which is a Steele dossier full of garbage that was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC and then pushed through to the intelligence community to put out this official report that was ordered by Barack Obama. Like if you don’t that the intelligence community being weaponized like that for political purposes is a problem, then I’m not sure you actually believe in democracy. I mean, come on.”
