On Tuesday, Karen Read appeared back in court for the last time before her second murder trial begins next week. Read is accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, by running him over with her SUV after a night of drinking. Read’s defense claims she’s being framed as part of a larger cover-up, and was just denied a motion to dismiss the case against her.
