Elina Valtonen, Finland Minister for Foreign Affairs, joined Brian Kilmeade to comment on President Trump saying he believes Vladimir Putin wants peace. Valtonen pushed back and said if Putin wanted peace, Putin could stop the fighting in Ukraine. She also pointed out he was the one who invaded Ukraine. Valtonen thinks Putin needs to bring something to the table, for example, the 20,000 Ukrainian children taken from their families. Valtonen explained that she along with others in Europe are not enthusiastic with Putin only engaging in conversation with President Trump. Valtonen said Moscow has been more than satisfied about the discussions between Putin and Trump. Valtonen hopes Europe will be more engaged, especially Ukraine, in negotiations for a ceasefire. On potential negotiations in Saudi Arabia between Putin and Trump, Valtonen worries this will again normalize Putin as a political leader.
