Texas Republican Congressman Wesley Hunt joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to push back on the narrative being promoted by many Democratic lawmakers that Americans did not vote for the spending cuts being implemented by the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency.
“What Democrats oftentimes forget that, again, we work for the American people, not the other way around. This was a landslide victory. President Trump wins the presidency, the House and then added 4 or 5 seats to the Senate on top of it. And you’re saying you’re complaining about what’s happening. And that’s why 70% of Americans approve of exactly what President Trump is doing. And then I’ll also say this. They’re complaining about what’s happening. USAID, they’re really complaining about every red-blooded American should be very satisfied with what we’re seeing. They’re complaining that they didn’t vote for this. But I hate to the day are you paying attention to what he is finding and what he is revoking? Don’t want to see the American taxpayer dollars go to things that actually matter and not for condoms in a random country. This is absolutely fantastic. This is nonpartisan. This is cleaning up our government spending. What should have been done decades ago.”
