Theresa Payton, Chief Information Officer for President George W. Bush, CEO and Founder of Fortalice Solutions and author of “Manipulated: Inside the Cyberwar to Hijack Elections and Distort the Truth”, spoke to Brian Kilmeade about her serious national security and privacy concerns over DeepSeek. Payton says that even though DeepSeek is a private company, they are headquartered in China and don’t want to run afoul of the Chinese government. Payton explained that future success in the race against China over A.I. requires bold decisive action right now and focused on removing the regulations that held back the tech industry. Payton believes the country that dominates A.I. will have global economic dominance and says it better be America. Payton thinks President Trump understands that and will be part of the solution to ask the tech industry what they need to win the A.I. race. Payton points out that America can and must win the A.I. race because by America winning this race, we can and will set ethical privacy and security standards for generations to come.
